As the director of senior housing for the Calida Group, Thomas Jurbala of Las Vegas, Nevada, identifies and oversees development opportunities for memory care, nursing, and assisted living facilities. Outside of his career, Thomas Jurbala is a fan of the Chicago Bears NFL team.

According to ESPN’s Adam Caplan, who revealed the news via Twitter, the Chicago Bears’ coaching staff is set to welcome Curtis Modkins, who will serve as the team’s running backs coach. Modkins was most recently the offensive coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers. Before his work in California, Modkins spent the 2013 to 2015 seasons as the running backs coach for the Detroit Lions.

Modkins has also worked on the coaching staff for the Buffalo Bills, Arizona Cardinals, and Kansas City Chiefs. Before coaching in the NFL, Modkins worked multiple college coaching positions at his own alma mater, Texas Christian University, home of the Horned Frogs.

Modkins’ role in Chicago will primarily center around developing Jordan Howard, the star rookie who broke the team’s previous rookie rushing record during the 2016 season. Modkins replaces Stan Drayton, who left the team’s coaching staff to become the assistant head coach for the University of Texas.
