Director of senior housing Thomas Jurbala presides over The Calida Group’s high-end senior living communities in Las Vegas. Outside of his daily work in Las Vegas, Thomas Jurbala makes charitable giving a commitment and supports the Alzheimer’s Association.

The national leader in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease, the Alzheimer’s Association supports research, provides a wealth of services for patients, and promotes brain health to the public. The Alzheimer’s Association also helps members of the public take action and raise funds for research.

Popular Alzheimer’s Association campaigns include the Casual for a Cause program offered in workplaces around the country. Employers select a day or period of time for their Casual for a Cause event. Employees are then invited to make a small donation in exchange for casual attire privileges on that day. By skipping the suit and wearing jeans, entire workplaces can raise money while simultaneously generating awareness of Alzheimer’s.

The Alzheimer’s Association provides stickers, fliers, and other materials to help companies tell their clients and partners why they have gone casual. To learn more about Casual for a Cause or other simple fundraising opportunities, visit www.actionalz.org.
